Services / Private Libraries

Private libraries for your community.

Give families or members access to a managed collection of digital storybooks in Lullashelf. Private Libraries are made for schools, daycares, community groups, and organisations that want one approved shelf to share securely.

Set up your library

Lullashelf creates a private library for your organisation and agrees who can manage it.

02

Add approved books

Your nominated account holder uploads approved .lullashelfbook files for members.

03

Share the join code

Give the code only to the families or members who should have access to the shelf.

04

Read in Lullashelf

Members enter the code in the app and download books available in that library.

For trusted sharing

A library your organisation controls.

Private Libraries let an organisation provide its selected storybooks through Lullashelf without publishing them in the public Lulla Library. Account-holder access is issued separately from ordinary app sign-in, so your appointed library manager controls uploads for the shared shelf.

Access and moderation

Your approved collection, supported by Lullashelf.

Lullashelf can reset account-holder access, replace member join codes, change library assignments, and remove an uploaded book where moderation or access control requires it.

FAQ

How a Private Library works.

Is a Private Library public?

No. It does not appear in the public Lulla Library. A member needs your library's join code and an active named member record before the app can download its books.

Who can add books?

The main library admin and approved uploader accounts can upload books, within the 20, 50, or 100 book tier set for the library.

What happens if a code is shared accidentally?

Lullashelf can issue a replacement member join code so the old code stops granting access.

Can an uploaded book be removed?

Yes. An account holder can remove their uploaded books, and Lullashelf support can moderate and remove library books where required.
